Man of Secrets (2)

I always wanted to use my dad's attaché class in one of my photo projects. I mean for anyone who has seen a James Bond or Spy film, this case looks like it either has secret government files in it or a super gadget. Handcuffing myself to it really makes it look like a legitimate suitcase of secrets especially, when the blinds are closed and there is sneaky pair of sunglasses nearby. After taking my last self portrait downstairs in my living room, I decided to take this one upstairs on the kitchen table, I mean where else would spies exchange secrets if not at a table?

  1. Great story to go along with the shot! Make sure to be careful of red eye and flash blowing out highlights. Try to use indoor lighting next time.
    Overall great portrait!

  2. You have great imagination and story telling abilities. I think Justin is correct though, the mysterious case and you would have benefited from some shadows. The shadows would have helped along the mysterious drop of undisclosed materials. Over all nice shot interested to see next weeks adventure.

  3. Aaron,
Let's keep building on this idea of mystery and suspense and choose some lighting to go with it. Honestly, had you not mentioned the handcuffs, I don't think I would have noticed it. Consider using some backlighting to show off a profile of you being handcuffed to the suitcase -it doesn't take anything fancy, just some experimentation on lighting and exposure. Look at images of James Bond and see how you could adapt this for next week's post.
