Bull Moose (16)

Recently I was reading an article on Theodore Roosevelt, when I noticed his Presidential self-portrait in which, he also leaned on a table while staring assertively at the viewer, so I thought it would be an interesting self-portrait, my expectations were meet. I suppose the strength of this image comes from a sense of confidence within me, that stands its ground and backs down to no one, a quality that I do believe I possess. Frontal formalities are obviously necessary in life, but truthful realism of a personality is vital as well. I like myself, despite all of my faults and I am proud to be me.

Tired....(15)

Four days of work in a row, 23 hours in total spanning between 10 A.M. to 7:15 P.M. depending on the day. But, it was a pay week, so my motivation was high, but my energy is not anymore. Really, i'm just glad my only real worries are school based and easily solvable. Exhaustion teleports me into my bed, even if i'm not sleepy because it really is comfortable to just lay there without any more commitments for the day. My thoughts are rudimentary, what drink I would like with dinner, which of my DVRed programs I want to watch, what websites I want to search for humorous videos and if I just want to call it a day and go to sleep.

What Photography is to me (14)

Ever since I was born and even before, my parents documented my life with photography. For this reason, I've always been photogenic and more than happy to have my picture, whether at an affair or during a trip. The camera has and always will be a staple of documenting my life. It is a neccessity whenever I go to an event, no just to be like everyone else, but to have physical memories I look back on years later. I love photography and camera; and it always be part of my existence.

Onward to Tomorrow (14)

So I decided to photograph myself before going out to the New York International Auto Show, last weekend. As the Auto show is one of the biggest events in New York and I haven't been spending much time with my dad as I'm normally busy with both College and work, I was really excited to get the chance to go with him to New York City. I've always been an individual, who shows his passion, so striking an assertive forward pose isn't really that odd for me. To me I feel you lose part of yourself, when your favorite things no longer bring joy to your life.

Cruising (13)

Went to the New York International Auto Show today, I had alot of fun, saw plenty of different cars from many companies like Toyota and BMW, I also acquire a ton of varied free items ranging from a Mazda aluminum water bottle to a Toyota USB drive. Undoubtably, my favorite part of the Auto show is definitely getting behind the wheel of the many cars and feeling what they are like, Cameros for example are ironically very crammed. So of course one of the first car I wanted to sit in was a Ford Mustang, which is surprisingly only a little bit more expensive than a Toyota Camry. I've been a fan of cars since riding in my Grandpa's 1989 Lincoln Continental as a kid, so in a way Cars influence who I am as a person.

Dressed for a greater cause10)

Today, I went to the dedication of a new Torah of the Chabad of Orange County. It was a pretty fun event, joyous occasion, lots of people and of course a ton of food, you can't have any Jewish occasion without food. As this was a formal affair, I was wearing my Polo sweater and a DKNY dress shirt, but as it was outside I kept on my Polo vintage varsity letterman jacket, finely got the opportunity to wear it in one of my photos. I had a good time, wish there were some finger sandwichs, but you can not always get what you want.

Movie Night (9)

I love almost all kinds of Movies and television in general. Ever since I could remember, my dad's taken me to see films as well as show me some of yester year. As well, I spent alot of school and summer afternoons watching all sorts of tv shows. Though I was born in 1992, right after the Cold War ended, I really like Cold War action and drama films as I feel they both embody the era, they were made in and show the hopes as well as the fears of the times. I also love watching Japanese anime especially ones giant robots because I love the fantasy of Science and what can be. So whenever I get the chance, I pop in one of my favorites and watch it at night laying on the couch with a blanket on, that is an awesome way to watch a film.

A Long Day's End (8)

Another long day at the Commons, another day's pay I have earned. I really did not expect to working today as I had an on-call from 12-5 and lately they haven't been taking on-call for work, but we were busy today and as many of my coworkers had called out due to today being the day after St. Patrick's day, my services were desired. After having worked from 11-8 on Saturday, I was still tired despite a full night's sleep and as my car was low on gas and the best gas prices are in Middletown, I had to drive my mom's CR-V to work, which is a bit more challenging due to it's elevation over my Toyota Camry, and find parking on a beautiful Sunday afternoon at one of the biggest tourist attractions in the State. After work, I spent an hour hanging out, waiting for traffic to lighten up, it didn't, so another 30 minutes in traffic before I got home and could just get comfortable and eat. Long day, but a good meal relieves all woes.

My entire week in a nut shell (7)

So I purchased Mass Effect 3, this Tuesday as that was when it came out and I've pretty much dedicated every available moment I've had to it as I'm a big fan of the series. So every day and night, I've been playing it downstairs in order to finish it and see the epic ending to the trilogy. Just finished it entirely tonight, in only about 35 hours, yeah it's a very large and long game, well spending 80 bucks on the Collector's Edition and preordering it in October, it better be worth every penny and it was. I really do love video games and Mass effect is one of my favorites, not just for the beautiful graphics, brilliant story telling and the excellent writing, but because it's a series that allows you to design your character, your backstory and choose your actions and see how they effect you later as the data from the first two games is transferred to the third. I guess what I love most is that the story is my story, I choose my actions and they affect my experience.

A Fair Day's Labor (6)

Thank G-D for Vitamin water, seriously after a long day of working at the Commons, a refreshing drink is G-D spend. Maybe 5 to 9 isn't an extremely long shift, but the boredom can be just as brutal as the long hours. Having a citrus drink definitely helps counter my cold, though I could have taken the day off. But I couldn't do it, maybe because of my dedication to my job, which allows me to have the money necessary to maintain my car, maybe because I see alot of my friends, who I share a camaraderie as co-workers or maybe because I went to the city and bought a bunch of Japanese giant robot models and action figures and I need to have the cash to pay for those. Curse you Bandai and Square-Enix for your irresistible incredibly detailed products. At the end of day, I will chose work over staying home because I need the money to sustain my lifestyle because nothing worth buying in life is ever cheat.

A Man and his Dedication (5)

So had a little difficulty thinking of what I would do this week, but luckily my attire I wear to work at Polo Ralph Lauren gave me the idea of doing a rather uncharacteristicly serious photo of me walking down the stairs to go to work. Wearing a Germany emblem polo definitely gives a feel of seriousness as Germans are well known for their strict disciple and in my opinion this photo makes me think of old World War 2 German propaganda posters of a proper dedicated soldier marching off to his occupation. I completely feel that doing a vertical shot gives the photo of more stern look and I am considering using vertical shots again in the future.

Poured, not shaked (4)

Aaron the spy is back! Yeah, my mom got me a new suit this week and man does it have that spy thriller sheen to it! Though James Bond style is my ideal of spies, a Tuxedo is out of the question due to the fact I am still growing. In my opinion the classy black suit with open top button makes me think of George Clooney from a variety of his films including the Oceans trilogy. A snapple iced tea with two ice cubes in a simple glass definitely gives me the look of a beverage respecting gentlemen with a love for classy wear. Taking this on my deck outlooking the Onion fields in my backyard, is in my opinion a really great background for the photo, seriously in a ton of spy movies the suit wearing protagonist always has a drink on a balcony with an awesome view.

Stone Cold Thriller (3)

I did want to do another Spy themed photo, but unfortunately the only way to really improve over my first one would be to take a photo with me wearing a Formal suit unfortunately the only suit I have is too small, so I went with a more undercover cop kind of photo this time. Yes, I did photograph myself wearing only an undershirt and an open Hawaiian shirt outside in New York State in February when it was only in the 20s with wind chill. My inspiration came from the Hawaiian shirt, which I had bought the week before at the store I work at, Polo Ralph Lauren. It reminded me alot of the look of 80s cop shows like Miami Vice and Magnum P.I. a theme I thought would be fun to play with. Personally I think I look pretty cool especially with the Manly beard and the Sunglasses, though the glasses I am wearing are not sunglasses just transitional glasses.

Man of Secrets (2)

I always wanted to use my dad's attaché class in one of my photo projects. I mean for anyone who has seen a James Bond or Spy film, this case looks like it either has secret government files in it or a super gadget. Handcuffing myself to it really makes it look like a legitimate suitcase of secrets especially, when the blinds are closed and there is sneaky pair of sunglasses nearby. After taking my last self portrait downstairs in my living room, I decided to take this one upstairs on the kitchen table, I mean where else would spies exchange secrets if not at a table?

Chilling (1)

Truthfully there is nothing I enjoy as much as simply just sitting down in a very comfortable spot and playing around with my Mac laptop on the web. Though playing on my X-box 360 downstairs on my parent's 42 inch Vizio High Definition Tv does come pretty close, especially while chilling on the Lazy boy couch and using my laptop to pick up tricks and hints. Opening the blinds gives the room plenty of natural light. I really like my Nintendo NES graffiti T-shirt as it was the only thing rationally priced at the Nintendo store in New York City.
